I've noticed that when my bike is cold, I have to adjust the idle higher and as the bike gets warmer, I must adjust the idle down. Sometimes I will be riding and everything will be fine until I come to a light and the bike is idling real low . The idle screw is good and tight so it is not slipping. What could cause this?
Is this the 78kz1000 obtained about 14 months ago that was used for drag racing, and pretty much stripped, including a minimal wiring harness?
Any carb mods?
Drag racers are understandably not overly concerned with decent idling and carb pilot circuits.
Would elicit better responses by including bike year and model in signature.
Here's how to do it:

Still having problems figuring out how to manuever in this website. Yeah it was setup as a drag bike originnaly when I bought it. Still using original 26mm carbs. It just started doing this as the riding season began. Didn't have this problem last year

Some of the possibilities could include:
Advancer sticking;
Valve clearances;
Dirty carb pilot circuits;
Weak battery;
Weak charging system;
Imperfect battery cable connections;
Corroded wiring and/or connections.
Good Fortune!

Perhaps need to fine tune pilot circuits by adjusting the pilot air screws in conjunction with the idle thumb screw.
Default air screw position is 1.0 +/- 1/8 turns out from lightly seated.
Oem pilot jet is 15.
Might also need carbs synced.
Could have intermittent air leak in carb holder, loose clamp at carb holder, loose or worn vacuum plug.
Good Fortune!
