1977 mikuni kz650 : Throttle slide clearance?

One thing I didnt pay attention to when rebuilding my carbs was the throttle slide clearance setting.
I dont have a manual. Does any one have this info?
Thanks
Chris

Not sure what you mean by throttle slide clearance?
Do you mean the default gap?
If it slides nicely and doesnt rattle around or get hung up, your ok.
Peace.

Thanks for your time.
I mean the gap from bottom of the slide when the throttle is closed. There is an adjustment screw at the top of the slide that sets the "height" of the slide allowing a gap at the bottom. One side of the slide (the engine side i think) has a deeper round edge than the other.

okay, i have a 1977 kz650 b3 with some questions about things on the carb and questions about tuning the bike. first of all what do i do with those bypass air hoses (i think) when i have pods on it. second i start the bike it runs. i roll the throttle 1 ~ 2 mm no big deal 3 and it try's to choke out. any ideas? the jets in it are whatever z1enterprises gave me for carb rebuild kit (did not specify weather it was for airbox or pod so i am assuming its for airbox. do i need to get different jet and pilot? pictures attached are my carb and a diagram my carb is the one on the right.

If stock main jet is 102, then just with the pods go to a 105... you don't have to change the pilot. Adjust your air screws to where you can smoothly take off from a stop. Do a plug chop at 6000 RPM and take a look at the plugs to see if that main jet setting is OK.
