Help with carb id was created by Mac68
First want to say thanks for a great site with lots of good info. I bought a 1980 kz 1000 b4 ltd about a week ago with 7,700 original miles. The po had put a new set of carbs supposedly off the kaw dealers shelf they are Mikuni with id mark 299 no pump they do look pretty new and run good. Was wanting to know if anybody could help me with what they are in case i ever have to work on them. I also have the original set that should be vm 28's with pump id 120 over 2 is that correct? Thanks for any and all help.

Measuring them would give you the exact metric but maybe this will help as well....

Hard to see in your images... Over-flow nipple out the float bowls? If so then I'm with Keith, 26mm....

Yes over flow nipples out of the float bowls. I'll measure them for sure when and if i have any problems and have to pull them off. She is running great right now just wanted to try to figure out what they were for sure in case i have to order anything for them. Thanks Old Man Rock for the info!
