On Keihin CV34s, does turning the pilot screw in lower or raise the amount of air in the mixture?

I have CV34s also
Turning in lowers the amount of gas and makes it lean. Turning out increases the amount of gas and makes it rich.
Stock setting is 2 turns out. WIth my setup I need 2.5 turns out.
