well here i go.striped down carbs and soaking them in degreaser[krud kutter]see what happens.any feed back appreciated

Find a local auto carb shop that does ultrasonic cleaning, you wont have to strip them down AND they will be cleaner

Find a local auto carb shop that does ultrasonic cleaning, you wont have to strip them down AND they will be cleaner



some auto shops actually do ultrasonic fuel injector cleaning. Some of them use pure simple green as a cleaner. Anyway, if you can find a shop that does ultrasonic fuel injector service, not just motorvac....its worth a try asking them, i would have them apart when you bring them in though.

that is if a good soaking doesnt work, but it probably will.

I've had several sets done with ultrasonic. I just remove the floatbowls, top caps and jets. They come out like new. Cleaning solution is very similar to simple green so it doesnt harm plastic and rubber parts.
