Was 86 GPZ 1100 still fuel injected ?

Just curious if they were still injected or carbureted ? I have a chance to buy one but its a long ways away. Id like to see a picture if anyone has one too. Thanks

By 1986, Kawasaki had moved back to normal aspiration and, in fact, had phased out the ZX1100 fuel-injected model line (last year of production was 1985 -- ZX1100A3. In the 1100's place in 1986 were the new generation of water-cooled bikes, the ZX900A1 and the ZX1000R line.

Thats wierd then, the guy has it listed on Craigslist like that. So an 85 would be injected then ?

was there a pic? maybe he meant 96 GPz1100...

It is not a 1986 model...it is also likely NOT a 1985 GPz1100 (the ZX1100A3) as they were pretty rare and by late 1984, the ZX900 had been introduced and they sold well. Is there a photo of the bike? If it was a ZX1100, then it would be FI if he had not converted to carbs. But, all stock ZX1100A to A3 were FI.

Well, its 2 grand & the guy cant spell either so Im just going to call it good & move on. When you call it plays 40 seconds of hard rock music then a voice says Im not here, :S screw em !
