Does anyone have any diagrams other than the ones on Kawasaki?
I'm looking for some that would be pictures or even a drawing so I have a better idea what I'm looking at.
To sum this up I'd like to replace my old petcock with one that has on,off, reserve so I'll need to know what stays and what goes.
Also, what kind of petcock to get, maybe one from Z1E.
Thanks in advance for any help given.

If you pull apart your current unit and clean everything real good, then reassemble the rubber stuff with some grease, it will give it another life. AND...
If you plug the vac port on the back of it, you can use it as a regular ON/OFF petcock. Hence, Prime is basically RES, and both RES and ON are OFF positions.
For new parts, call Z1 Enterprises, I;m sure they can steer you right.

It would be easier for folks around here to answer your questions if you would put your bike info in the signature line like Tek9ine and others have done.
The easiest solution would be to repair or replace the the factory installed petcock. If you would rather install an aftermarket manual one, Pingle is probably the best and most expensive. Z1E has some inexpensive ones, but I have no experience with them.
The factory petcocks are easy and inexpensive (usually) to rebuild. They also fit properly and require no modifications to work properly.

P.S. What Tek9ine is saying is that you can use a vacuum petcock without the vacuum hooked up. On those petcocks (probably what your bike came with) the RES and ON positions will flow fuel only when vacuum is applied to the valve. The PRI position will flow fuel with no vacuum.
Okay, thats a start. Thanks Texas and everyone else.
Sooo, If I run my same petcock with no vacuum line then will I ever have an off or will gas always have the potential to flow?
