Hey everyone, Just got me a '76 kz650. When I start out, as well as when I switch gears, my bike sputters and sometimes stalls. If I REALLY ease into the throttle, then the sputtering is limited. Would this be a timing issue, or are my carbs out of sync. Any suggestions would be helpful as my knowledge in this area dates back about two days!

Hi and welcome to the site! If you just got the bike and it had been sitting or neglected for a while it's probably going to need a good basic tuneup.
I would make sure your plugs, wires, coils, points, timing, etc. are in good order before tackling the carbs. Also make sure you have fresh gas and clean air filters before assuming carburetion.
Let us know how it goes!
