High Idle Question??? was created by Fozzie
Arite fellas, the ol KZ is running pretty good now. No more leaks from the pods and shes firing right up at the push of a button. But after cruising around for a few minutes, when I get to a stop light or something and pull the clutch its idling high or turning like 3K rpms. It will smooth out after a few minutes but if I release the clutch to take off or shift to a lower gear its ok,just when I pull the clutch. Any ideas on where I should start( I already checked the throttle cable to see if its getting kinked or hung).

This is a classic symptom of being too lean.
Could be an air leak, or your mixture screws are too lean.

Have you set the mixture screws properly?

If not already done, with engine running at normal operating temperature, could try reducing idle speed by turning the thumb screw idle adjuster.

Good Fortune! :)

So I have adjusted the idle to around 5 hundred rps. Runs fine still idling high at stop lights whenever I pull the clutch to stop. When you say airleak, where? And this is a common syptom of an air leak?
