Mikuni VM24 or factory carbs for 82 KZ750 LTD?

I have 2 sets of carbs that will fit my 82 KZ750 LTD. I have the factory carbs that came with KZ750 and I have a set of Mikuni VM24 carbs from a 79 Z650 doaner bike. Both sets need to be rebuilt and rejetted. Before I go through the work and expense I thought I should ask opinions here on which would be the better carb set performance wise?

Describe your exhaust system and the air intake system, please. This might aid in advice.

I have pod filters for both sets. Currently I have the stock double 2-1 exhaust on but I'm going to change that out for a 4-1 headers with a Kerker pipe I found laying around (another donation from the Z650).
