Sorry, I am HIGH on gas fumes!!! :silly:

Seems to be gas leaking out of carb #2 ?? Didn't seem to have this problem before we took tank off to redo it? Did a search on here and red a few other threads to get some ideas.... Could it be the petcock? I don't see any gas actually leaking from the fuel line or PC itself? But we turned PC off and ran the bike at idle to try and get her to die out, and she never would, almost like the PC was still on? "supposedly" seals and stuff have just been replaced on the carbs by one of our mechanics, and when we got it back (again prior to tank removal) we were not having this issue.

So frustrated!! After all the work we have put into her in the past few months, still having issues! I think tonight I will just go home, stand back, admire her beauty, and throw money at her!

Your Float valve is stuck. First thing is that you should install a inline fuel filter on the bike. This should prevent this from happening in the future. Second is to shut off the fuel to the carbs and drain that float bole. This will open the float valve all the way. While you have the float drain screw out, put a dish under the opening. Now open the petcock for about a count of 4 or 5. This should flush out any dirt in the float valve. Replace drain screw and you should be OK.

I would take the tank off the see if fuel is still leaking out of the PC when it is off. If that is the case might need to rebuild the PC again.

As to the leaking carb 2 I would suggest checking the needle and seat. There could have been some gunk in the line that made its way to the needle and seat causing it not to seal correctly. Might be as simple as taking out the needle and blowing some compressed air into the seat to dislodge it.

Definitely take the tank off and check that the petcock is not leaking in the off position. The needle and seats should theoretically stop the flow but with these old carbs they are prone to keep the fuel flowing when the petcock is off.

It would be a good idea to make sure fuel did not make it into the crankcase and contaminate the oil. This is common when the fuel will not shut off.

OK, so ya'll are gonna be around later on tonight for a how to clinic on SKYPE right!

Thanks for the feedback! What pisses me off is that I just spent an assload of money and the carbs were supposedly "gone through" we were told the needles were in great shape and we had the inline fuel filter installed, so that's brand new! All seemed to be great until we put the finished tank back on.....

If you do what I mentioned before it will take you 15 minutes and cost you about $4. If it dose not work you can do all the other hard and time-consuming and expensive stuff later.

All you need is one of these. I bought six of these on eBay for about $1.50 each.
