Hey guys, quick question: On my org. 26mm Mikuni's on my '78 KZ1000 LTD, the airscrews on the bottom of the carbs have a plastic thumbscrew with stops that slips over the brass airscrew. Can I run the bike without these, or will the screws turn out of position without them. If I need them, where can I get them. Didn't see them on Z1.... Thanks in advance!

Toss 'em.

The purpose was to discourage us incompetent boob owners from monkeying too much with the fuel ratio.

Like motorcycle emissions count for a whole lot in the overall scheme of things. :S

Good Fortune! :)

They had a little notch on them.
So you could only get about a 1/4 turn out of them.
