Your carbs are very lean from the factory. They might have to be cleaned again. I've cleaned 650 carbs several times before they were clean enough. I use a test light when setting points. Place the tip of the probe against the side of the contact when one set is open. Then you'll know what side to put it on (because the light will come on). Turn it over using your hand on the kick start until it's close to the F mark that's coming up. Press the probe to the set of points that are about to open, bump the kick start by hand until the light comes on and that is when they break. Do the other side and your done. U will have to move the points seperatly until they each are right on. Once they are, you can use the plate to adjust both at the same time. If you cannot get the points to break at the fire mark and run out of adjustment, It's time for new points as the rubbing block is worn. Very simple, very accurrate. Ground on the test light goes to the engine anywhere you want to put it. :)
