alright guys, im new to this websight and in need of your knowledge.. i have a 79 kz750 with the mikuni bs38 carbs. running pod filters and no mufflers. i know this bike is not designed to run right like this, and it needs to be fattened way up. some might say it cant be done right, but i know that anything man made can be tweaked and fixed any way you want it. any help and info will be greatly appreciated. im having trouble finding jet kits for this bike

Mine's a B4, and I screwed with the carbs a bit but never ran straight pipes. Here's my first guess:

1) go with a #50 pilot jet

2) try a 135 main jet (maybe higher?)

3) put the needle clip in second notch from the bottom (one rich)

The pilot jets are the standard BS30-96 you can get anywhere, the main jets are very rare but I found one place:
