My petcock is blue!
That is the fuel valve on my '73 Z1 has been painted blue by the PO.
My question is should it be black or natural?
The reason I ask is it is painted black under the blue paint.

I think it should be neutral. At least mine is.
Since Jeff says black mine must have been blasted by the previous owner.

The original petcocks were black. Replacement petcocks (like the one we sell) are bare cast aluminum finish.
