I have a 82 kz750 spectre and am wanting to but a new set of carbs to rebuild. I have found a set off a 83 kz750 ltd that look identicle but do have different part numbers. The 82 is 16001-1526 and the 83 is 16001-1739. Does anyone know if these are compatible?

Thanks,
Drew

If I'm not mistaken the LTD used Kehin carbs where the Spectre used Mikunis. I'm not 100% on that though, I'm going from memory. Even if they were the same carb they would carry a different part number since the Spectre carbs were painted black. In Kawasaki partsland that is enough reason to give a new part number to something that is otherwise identical. If given a choice I would stick with the Mikinis since parts are much easier to find.

Thanks for the reply. My 82 has Kehin and the seller with the other carbs said those were kehin cvk34's, which I am sure mine are also. I soon as I have a chance to verify my carbs I'll respond for sure.

Thanks again,
