tickover? was created by Scotty355
I plan on synching the cv carbs on my 750 and was reading over the article in the file base but I am a little confused on the term tickover do they mean idle speed? Also where the pilot screws are is plugged should I remove these or leave them alone?

I think that the term tickover means idle speed which should be about 1300rpm when the engine is fully warmed up.

If your plugs are a nice healthy brown tan colour then I would leave the pilot/mixture screws alone.

The pilot screws are under the plugs.

I may be wrong, but I believe you will need to adjust them after you sync the carbs. Syncing will set the vacuum levels evenly, but then you adjust the pilots to get the best off idle performance. Search the forums in the carb section.
