chrome parts for 29 mm smoothbores was created by keith1
does anyone know of a source for chrome bowls and tops ?
there was a guy on ebay for a while selling a set of 2 chrome tops for 26mm, which i believe will fit, but i havent seen them lately...a source for chroming small bits maybe?...will chrome stand up to fuel in bowls?...just wondering....thanks....

browns plating in kentucky is da bomb for aluminum stuff.you could get by doing just the top/bottem on each end carb if ya want to save some money. B)

i checked them out....47 a bowl and 38 a top...definitely would only be the outer carbs....thanks

mine were done when i got my cheap deal 29's on the net...just the two tops on the outside...makes the whole thing flow if you have other chrome.....the inner ones are all shadows unless there is a real inspection...i'd do it ....it flows and keeps the chrome front and rear stuff tied in one line...imo

X3....Just polished mine last night and they look just about like chrome. I bought a 6" buffer at Harbor Freight a few days ago, it made quick work of polishing them. It's on sale for $39.00 right now. Not the best quality buffer but works great for what I need.
P.S. just hang on tight

i bought the combo grinder/buffer there about 4 months ago...i tried the buffing wheel and the the thing is just unraveling itself and sending 2" strings EVERYWHERE..whats the deal? cheap ass buffing pad? i m probably gonna polish them....
