Broken float. was created by knisely
I've been rebuilding the carbs on my 1978 KZ650. I somehow managed to knock one of the floats on the edge of my bench and broke one of the foam pieces off. Is there anywhere I can find new floats for my bike? I've been looking around but havent been able to find any specific to my '78 650.

Motorcyle salvage yard or ebbaayy. You may have to buy a rack of carbs - maybe you'll get lucky & find something cheap. I would guess that the VM24 carbs all use the same floats - check the cross-reference at Kawasaki.com.

Like JMKZH1 syas, you'd probably have to get a whole rack. You may find a beat up set for $20 if you're lucky, but why don't you edit the title of this thread to say "needed: 1 float for 650 carbs". Someone around here has got to have a set laying around for parts.

I did find this web site

www.carbkitscapital.com/carb_kit_list_mo...Kawasaki&model=KZ650

They have floats for an '82 650H2. Does anyone know it these floats would work in my VM24ss Carbs?

No. The 82-83 CSRs came w BS32 carbs.
Go to ebbaayy & search for KZ650 float or KZ650 carbs or something like that. You should find all sorts of options - maybe not all cheap but some options non-the-less. Also, sometimes searching the part number yields a result or two.
