Well i have been playing with my 1977 kz 650, for a while now, and i upgraded to 26mm kz 1000 carbs, and it really woke up the bike big time. I had pods on the bike, but since it is my daily rider, i got caught in the rain every once in a while, and it rand crappy till it dried out. I picked up a spare airbox for a 72 to 75 Z1 900, last year for 5 bucks at a walnecks swap meet. I got to thinking about it, and i didnt want to spend the 60 some odd dollars for the kz 900 airbox to carb boots. So i tried for the heck of it and i was able to sandwich in the Z1 900 airbox and it all fit up perfectly. I might have to lean out the jets a bit, but it runs and idles so much better now. My camera died, so i will post up pics of it in the next few days.

Me to Mcdroid.......lol. I took the bike out today and it runs rough till she warms up. It does have a hesitiation comming right off idle. I think im going to keep the 17.5 pilot jet's, I want to step down the main jet from the 115's in it now to 112.5's. After the hesitation it runs strong to redline.
