accelorator pump

hi everybody just pulled my pump apart to rebuildit -i bought a kit but cant figure out where the little ball bearing goes[maybe the previous owner pulled it apart and never put it back]icant find it in my clymers manual either-ihate it when ihave parts left over .lol.... thankz everyone mike;;;;

is no14 the ball bearing that your talking about.

thanks every body idont know if that is the ballbearing or not =it seems that that is part of the carb =idont know if that would be included in a pump rebuild kit or not-but ill check it out again tomorow[2 dark now].i cant run the bike to see if its running ok right now[my buddy blew up my tank trying to get a dent out]but ill keep plugging away at this project untill its just right thanks again mike....

Carb kits will not include those balls (one per carb) As a matter of fact there are no rebuild kits for the "pumper carbs". You have to use standard rebuild kits, everything works except the bowl gaskets. They must be ordered seperatly as they have a cut out for the one way check valve. Are you talking about rebuilding the carbs or the accelerator pump itself?

The K&L accelerator pump rebuild kit typically has the ball, weight & spring clip. To check the accelerator pump circuit, supply the carbs w fuel, then actuate the throttle pulley vigorously - fuel should squirt out the pump nozzles straight back thru the carb bore without hitting the walls.

thanks again -i did use the k&l rebuild kit -now i know where the ball goes[excuse my language...lol]ihad some gas leekingout and when i pulled it apart both gaskets were worn pretty bad but all is well now thanks again mike;;;;
