I'm looking at a set of Mikuni VM24s and I'm wondering if they'll improve performance for my '80 KZ750 E1. I'll be running them with pods and a 4-1 exhaust.
thanks
Chris
thanks
Chris

that is a very tiny carb to be used on a 750 to give you a frame of reference early gsxr's used 32 flatslides stock also most kz750's came with 34 c.v's. if your looking for a performance carb look at buying 29 mikunis smoothbore or get a set of 29 kehien cr's you can get them new for around 700.00 us lots of places and they are awesome carbs

The 1981 KZ650-CSR w VM24 carbs is rated at about 62hp.
The 82/83 models w BS32 (CV) carbs are rated at about 67hp.
The only significant difference in the bikes is the carburetors.
Info from the Jarle Z650 website.
I'm pretty sure the 750-4s came w BS34s.
I would guess not.... I'm wondering if they'll improve performance for my '80 KZ750 E1...

Thanks. I'll look into the 29's, but $700 is a bit more than I can spend - the bike only cost $750!
JMKZHI, the 750's come with Keihin 34mm stock carbs, not the BS34's.
