Unscrewed! was created by kzrider4life
Ok i got the intake screws out! 3 Days of soaking with pb blaster and 1 day of putting kroil and a pair of 7 inch vise grips and bam they are out! i tried the screwdriver but they wouldn't move so i cut all the rubber out of the way and got the small vise grips on them and the top ones turned. To move the bottom ones i tapped the steel intake boot frame counter clockwise and that made the screws turn. So now when the hardware store opens she will get new stainless Allen bolts and be on the road tomorrow! Thanks to all for the help and comments!

Put a thin film of the silver anti-seize on the first few threads. This will prevent the SS fasteners from galling or sticking when assembling the parts.

I bet it felt really good when that screw started turning! I'm convinced Kroil is magic. As Mfolks said, be sure to use some anti-seize on stainless bolts. Ed

When those straight jawed vise grips turned that first screw it was like YES! I knew if one turned i would get them all! My new intake boots are going to be here tomorrow so i will have the bike on the road. Pics will come in the next day or so,bike looks way different. Yeah and the pb blaster and kroil for sure helped.

Good for you!! I had one break off flush with the head and had to re-drill/tap a new hole slightly off center but works great. I got the stainless allen bolt kit off ebay for the entire engine. I also got a box of small washers for under every allen bolt. Glad things worked out...
