Carb Pricing was created by tachrev
Finally got the carb's I've been looking for, so my current set is going on eBay soon.

I thought I would ask here to see what most people thought would be a good price.

What I have:

Almost new Carb boots, came from Z1 about a year ago. Absolutely no cracks and soft as can be.

VM26's, no pump, of a running bike that was ridden as close to daily as possible. No problems. Don't look like they've been in a mud puddle for a year.

A set of Emgo pods, also less than a year old.

What do you all think this stuff is worth, and am I better off selling it separately or putting it on eBay as a package deal?

Package deal should get you ~ $300 plus....
It's e-bay after all... buying frenzy! I won, I won :woohoo:

The 26's are fairly common and everyone seems to want 29mm -34mm's these days. Then again, you never know....;)

Anyhoot, package deal is the way I'd go for someone new will see it as a hell of a deal, saves them the trouble of the intake manifold boots and pods... Plug & play....

Also may want to include in your write up if already jetted for your exhaust... They'll still require some tweaking but should be close to ball park....

Thanks. I'd really like to get around $150 plus shipping for everything, I'm just not sure how much VM26's are going for these days.

That would cover what I paid for the carbs, plus give me enough to buy a new set of J model boots from Z1.

You might be able to realize your US$150, as mentioned by OMR, via the package deal...it will depend on whether or not you can get an active bid war going. Separately, the Emgo's are inexpensive enough to make them virtually disposal, the carb boots are not that much from Z1E...yours are, after all, used. The big selling point may be that you already have the carbs 'dialed-in' for individual airpods and a header...many folks don't want to mess with carb issues :) Visually really clean up your carbs before offering them on eBay...presentation is more than half the battle.

Carbs are not selling or selling cheap right now. There are two sets of BS34's one priced at 75 bucks and another set priced at 80 bucks and no bids.

I wish i had a couple hundred dollars to drop on parts i could get a nice set of side covers and duck tail.....

I am watching quite a few VM's for sale right now on ebay. We'll see what they go for.

It looks like the 28's are selling pretty good. One set went for 127.00 and one for 99.00.

26's...we'll see. :S If it looks like I won't get anything for them, I will just hang on to them for now.

Thanks for all the input so far.

Smart image with the boot softness...;)

I think you cut yourself short by putting buy now @ $125... No way for these to go to buying frenzy.... Someone will just pay the $125 to snab it....

Best guess, these will sell quick for new boots alone are around $60... Plus they get pods and pre-jetted carbs for 4-1 exhaust! B)

I give it no more than 2 days and they'll be gone, most likely today... Anyone else?

Aw, come on now. Don't make me second guess myself anymore than I already did! Do you have any idea how long I stared at that submit button.

Maybe I should just put it up to what I first said I wanted for them. I have a hard time pricing my own stuff becuase I am a cheap bastard.

I based it on that fact that the last set of 26's I saw for sale went for 62.00 with 3 bids.

EDIT: I put it up 20 bucks. I priced a set of air filters at Z1 and they were $32, and boots where $65...didn't realize they were so much.
