I just purchased a KZ750 project bike and I'm cleaning the carbs. The repair manual that I have says to remove the diaphragm / slide assembly. Can someone tell me how to do this with out damaging the diaghragm? It doesn't seem to want to come out. Thanks - Dave

Is the bike a 750/4 with Keihin CV34 of Mikuni BS34 carbs ?
So. you have the tops off and the spring out ? What's stuck ?
Will the slide move up and down or is it stuck ?
The egde of the diaphrams fits into a groove in the carb body just under the chromed top. Is this stuck? Dried up gas/gum ? Whatever you do dont put carb cleaner here. I dont think carb cleaner will be good for the diaphragm. I'm not sure what to suggest. Maybe WD40.

Hello, David, and WELCOME to KZR! :)
We're glad you're here! :cheer:

Here's the link to a pretty good article about refurbishing CV carbs.

Might find some helpful info.

Good Luck! :)
