Can I get a manual single fuel line fuel valve and just "T" it off into my existing two lines?

I need to replace the petcock on my '76ltd and I'm curious if there is an economical option. I have a non vacuum, dual fuel outlet setup.
Can I get a manual single fuel line fuel valve and just "T" it off into my existing two lines?
You can get a Pingel high volume single outlet and 'T' it but they also are still about $100...but they are worth it.

Thanks, that is exactly the info I was looking for, as I was looking at the z1 parts as well. I was just looking for an alternative to sourcing out another 30yr old used part.i have the cheap one from z1 enterprises for a thread on kz 900...i gotta say it meets my needs ,is shiny, seems well made and strong material, and cost about 13-15 bucks....so who knows...i did have to re-contact them for a rubber diaphram that was torn when it got to me(it did not shut fully off)...2 minute job...they sttod behind the product...sent one in the mail in two days......one year later ..it is like the day i bought it and it gets turned off and on a lot ,so would have failed by now....no complaints....i want a pingle but am satisfied for now...good product

Still not economical though. If T'ing it off will work, I believe I will just get the cheaper single outlet. My plan is to eventual build this bike into a nice ride, but for right now, I want to get it together to ride on the cheap.Jimbo302 wrote:

May run a single inline fuel filter between petcock and Tee. Or run two inline filters, being a separate filter in each of the dual lines.
Good Luck!

Petcock to Tee, then dual lines to carb intakes, run two inline filters, being a separate filter in each of the dual lines.
Good Luck!
This is exactly what I was thinking, I ran more line and a filter on my last bike to give it more reservoir for full throttle runs.
Thanks!
