can't find '78 kz1000 pilot jets

All I'm able to find are

"Pilot Jet VM22/210"

or

"Pilot jet VM28/486"

The 1978 kz1000 came stock with VM26 carbs.

Anyone know of a source for pilots for VM26 carbs?

I just don't get it why all the vendors only sell
pilot jets for the 'VM22' or the 'VM28' and not the other
carb sizes, like the vm26.

Any known vendors out there? Even Sudco only sells
vm22 or vm28 pilot jets.

are the vm28 pilot jets *correct* for the vm26
carbs?

The carb kits from Z1E fit Kawasaki KZ1000A1/A2/B1/B2/C1/C1A, which include Main Jets 105 and 107.5 and Pilot Jets 15 and 17.5

Carb kit for 1977 KZ1000-A1 Mikuni VM26SS and
for 1978 KZ1000-A2 Mikuni VM26SS, and other models noted.

The pilot jets are available separately for 1978 KZ1000-A2.

Pilot Jets

If the pilot jets in the carbs at hand look like those shown in the Z1E listings, the pilot jets listed at Z1E should fit just fine.

If in doubt, give the good folks at Z1E a call.

i had the exact same question when i first started tearing
in on carbs.....the 26 and 28 take the same jets.....
call z-1 and tell them what you want to do and they can hook you up...there are lots o' places to get jets, but you wont get the customer service you get at z-1...
