jets for TK22's on 83 550 ltd was created by oldirtybob
I have an 83 550LTD, and fitted a MAC 4-1 exhaust. Seems a tad lean, pops a bit on down rev, but plugs look ok. I also have pod type air filters that i haven't yet installed, but want to , and am just afraid this will make it way too lean. Bike bandit has an exploded diagram from an 82, carbs look the same, and they don,t list any parts for the 83. I cant find a jet kit for an 83, but can for an 82. Before i spend any money, I just want to know I'll be able to use these. I don't really want to drill the jets out, I don't have any experience doing that. Any advice is much appreciated.
P.S., I'm not totally opposed to changing carbs completely if i can find a set that's affordable and compatible, though I don't know what is compatible
