Float adjustment process was created by Nats82
The bike is an 82 550ltd. I thought I kind of understood the steps for float adjusting, But.....was ready to try and got alittle confused. The carbs are off the bike, I understand that they must be level. I'm just not sure of the drain orfice, must they be plugged to keep the gas from leaking out of the bowls while testing? I guess what I'm asking is, is there some one that could explain the process, ie... clear tube makings, where the gas line should be in relation ship to the carb bowl. Should the idle knob be set a certain way..on and on and on, sorry for being kinda lost here. Any help would be absolutley great!!

Take a look at this posting, it may help. Also, you should pick up a Kawasaki Factory service manual for your bike. They can be found pretty cheap on ebay and they are worth their weight in gold. Be sure to get the correct one for your specific model/year. Ed
