it still ran like it had a vaccum leak, but none turned up. Then today i thought to look at the boots from the head to the carbs.
Sure egnough, there is a crack in cyl #4 boot. I sprayed some carb cleaner on it when it was running and it started choking.
Im glad i found it!
But does anyone have any suggetions on a quick fix until i can score some new boots???
thanks
Luke

You think that's pricy? Check the OEM Kawasaki ones. It'll scare you into buying the aftermarket ones.

I also have some cracks in my boots and I plan on using gorilla glue or elmers ultimate glue to bond the inside of the crack together. From there I am simply going to use some plastidip and apply a very thin coat over the crack with a small brush. Many people have used this for diaphragm repair, but I have also heard of it being used for carb boots as well. I am not sure where you are from, in the states you can get plastidip at Napa and Home Depot. In Canada I found some at Home Hardware. You can check their site at plastidip.com. Also for past stories on the use of this stuff check :
www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/forum/vintage...gm-repair-works.html
or this link talks about using it for carb boots:

Let me know how you make out. I will be doing mine this weekend!
