Are you sure that is not an injected bike that only looks like it has carbs??

I also have the Turbo book referenced in the blow-through paragraph, but I haven't read it yet (the pictures are pretty, though).
The book does have a brief (3 pages) chapter on motorcycle turbos and shows an R C Engineering kit for the Z1 using a special Keihin carburetor (that's all it says). I'll scan the photo in and post it and see if it helps anyone out.
It also mentions a Cline Turbo Technology kit made by Blake Enterprises that could make a stock Z1 hit close to 190 with 18psi of boost. Damn. Of course, this kit uses "water/alcohol injection, pressure-retarded spark and a separate oil pump and filter."

It seems the reason the KZs are all draw through is the amount of room behind the carbs. Since I am moving my battery and electronis to a spot above the rear tire I may be able to pull this off.
