hey guys newbie to bikes here
ok heres the deal i have had an 83 kz750 L3 given to me in boxs in pieces yup striped right down to the frame well i have it mostly together to the piont whare it turns over by its own power and no book to look at. ok now what i cant figure out is where do all the hoses go to from the carbs i have 5 of them i know the biger one between carbs 2 an 3 goes to the pet cock but thats it lol now on carb 2 thares a smaller hose does that one go to the petcock as well? and the hose on carb 3 goes to atmosphere right now there is two clear hoses that are attached to tee's one between carbs 1 an 2 and one between carbs 3 an 4 i am thinking thes are vent hoses now i have read some where that thes would go to a little plastic holder attached to the frame just under the back of the fuel tank oh and i should mention the bike is from canada where i live and i have found a jet of some sort in the hose between carbs 3 an 4 canadian models only i think is what a book said. is all this right any help would be great thanx in adavance

Are those the Keihin CV34'S? If so then yes the tee lines between 1-2 and 3-4 are vent lines. I beleive the vacuum line on carb 2 will go to the petcock and vacuum line on carb 3 may go to the airbox. Sometimes vaccuum lines on 1 and 4 are connected to a tee line and then to the airbox but I think the canadian models are just the one line from carb 3 into the airbox usually.

See this link for more info.

The correct carbs for that bike are Mikuni BS34's. You are right, the hoses coming from the tee's between carbs 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 are overflow vents. The hoses attached to the tee's should be routed down towards your swingarm but not right at your rear wheel. On the vacuum side, 2 of the vacuum hoses-ports on the top-front of the carbs should go to the fresh air valve system and 1 goes to the vacuum operated petcock. One of the vacuum ports just gets a plug. I have the same bike so if you need pics of where things go, just let me know. I'm in the process of switching out my motor, so I should also be able to provide some assembly pics if you need.
Best of luck,
Grant.

carburettor vent hose routing -z750p model is what the haynes book is saying
now the other hose that comes from carb 3 on the front of the car vacuum i think now i read somewhere the canadain model has a jet of some sort where does this go

The pic of the little box setup right above the airbox was probably used as a gasoline fume collector at one time. My bike has the same device but nothing is connected or routed to it.
I've not heard of any kind of Jet that is on the exterior of these type carbs.
The hose coming from the top front of #3 carb will go to your vacuum petcock (if you have one). Its hard to see by the pic, but it looks like the vacuum hose from carb #1 is also connected to carb #2. They should not be connected to each other. This is unnecessary.
If you have the fresh air return valve setup (Most california bikes did,) (2) of your vacuum lines should connect to that valve, if not, just plug the connectors with the same type plug as on carb #4.
Hope this helps.

That "jet" looks like a vacuum limiter... Basically what it does is soften the swings in vacuum pressure coming from the carbs... It evens it out.
Do you have the hose with the jet in it still?
Do you still have the vacuum operated petcock? If so, that is where the line with the jet goes.
If you don't have the fresh air inlet valve setup going to the cam cover, you only need the one vac line to the petcock. If you don't have a vacuum petcock, you don't need any vac lines, just plug them all.
