KZ1100 '83 SHAFT CARB PROBLEMS was created by Nicks83
Hi all,
I fired my bike up and it ticks over ok but when I pull the throttle the revs are increase more than they should.
I was wondering whether it was the carbs that I had to align? If so how do I solve this problem
Thanks
Nick

Do the rpms climb and then stay high even after you let off the throttle? That might be an intake leak. Especially if it idles ok but then occasionally revs for no apparent reason. Thats what mine did before I replaced the intake boots. Otherwise...
Or are you saying it idles fine but overrevs when you give it gas? At what throttle position is it running higher then it should? Could be needle jets. There's smart folks on here that I'm sure can help you out. I'm a novice but thought I'd throw out a couple ideas.
