Ok, like a dummy i didnt use inline fuel filters when i put the tank back on after the rebuild. I think im paying for it now. The bike was running pretty good, but now i cant get it to start up. Im thinking the crap that im use was in my tank found its way into my carbs. So tommorow im going to pull them completley apart and clean them really well. Im also going to ditch the pods for now, and put on the stock air box. Yesterday after work i stoped at the kawi shop, and got new fuel line and inline fuel filters.

Yup...sounds like carburation...did you rejet for the pods? If so, you'll have to rejet for the original airbox...

"like a dummy i didnt use inline fuel filters"...

No you didn't, please say you didn't do this young man...
Damn it boy, you know better than that... :(

Well, lesson learned... A quick inspection of your bowls should tell if filled with junk/sludge...

Will the motor start with the pods removed?
Would be similar to running with velocity stacks for t-shooting...

On empty bowls, turn the petcock to on, does fuel flow?

You're positive you have spark?

Are the plugs dry or wet?

No need to reply, just some things to look at and think about...

Hope it it turns to be something easy for you...

Thanks guys for the quick reply's. Ya OMR, i know better than that not to run it without the in line filters but my wanting to ride the thing put me back in the sidlines for awhile. I Drained the carbs and there were some little goldish looking specs that came out. I pulled everything apart and am cleaning them as we speak. Ya im sure i have spark a nice blue spark. The bike has a dyna s ignition, green 3 ohm dyna coils, copper core wires, wired george coil mod. I ran the bike last year with the stock airbox and the plugs were a perfect tan color.

You might ask around at the radiator shops if they will clean out your gas tank. Some boil it out, others use a mild acid. After having it done, consider having the tank lined with either the Kreem or Por-15. This should control any future rust.
