vm28 accelerator pump was created by Bicycle Lee
So I've put thee vm28's back together and I was just wondering if there was any sort of specs on where the accelerator pump should be adjusted to? Or anything to do with the accelerator pump I have to keep in mind.
Up until now I've only used bs34's so this whole pumper carb thing is kind of a trip to me...

When I put mine back together, seems I remember seeing instructions to leave about 3/16 of an inch of thread showing under the nut.
That's where mine is and it's working. (at least THAT part of the carb is)

my book says 10mm distance from nut to end of thread although I don't have mine adjusted that way?

10mm from the end of the thread? To the end of the little nut? Or to the start of the little nut? And 10mm from the end WHICH direction? haha

The book says 10.7 to 10.9mm from bottom of nut to end of thread which I interpret as roughly 10.7 to 10.9mm of thread showing

You should be able to test the functionality of the accelerator pump w the carbs off the bike. Put 'em in a stand, supply some fuel & prime the pump ciruit. Actuate the throttle pulley vigorously: fuel should squirt out the pump nozzles, straight back without hitting the carb bore walls. If the fuel dribbles out or squirts crooked, there may be debris in the nozzles or the pump circuit.
