OK now what ... I was balancing the carbs and while doing so I errored and gave a big turn to a carb screw and mercury dribbled over the top of the gauage, down the tube and probably into the motor. I shut everything down and pulled the carb rack I could see some shiny little drops in one of the intakes.

Will my motor go whammo next time it runs? Is it a ticking time bomb? Or will it pass through the engine if it got that far?

Barr, Relax, The amount of mercury injested will do no harm. and will eventually wind up in the lowest portion of exhaust pipe. G

it won't hurt anything if you fire the engine up again it will blow right out but now you will need a refill of mercury in your sticks.

As mentioned the mercury won't hurt. Now for the bad news though, you can't buy mercury any more so you have to go to a different type of sync tool and to get a set that even remotely works is not easy.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
