76 KZ400 carb rebuild kits
22 Apr 2009 08:09
First off, I've been looking around online and have found 76-77 carb rebuild kits. My local Kawasaki dealer only shows one for 77. Are they the same or compatible?
also where is a good online place selling these kits? I've seen them from $15 up to $50

I recall seeing the Keyster kits at loudfastugly.com for a good price.
They show them for $15:

I bought a set for my 750 and the kits are verey good and have a complete set of parts.

I had trouble finding a kit that had everything, so here's some of the odds and ends I ordered.
Here's the bowl gaskets I used: K&L KL18-2634
www.z1enterprises.com/SearchResult.aspx?...e&KeyWords=KL18-2634
Here's where I ordered some of the orings:
www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/gl_carb_parts.htm
They let you order just a few at a time.
Get "Viton" orings if you can. They handle fuel (especially with alcohol) better than nitrile.
Click on the diagram to see it more clearly.
"CS" stands for cross-section. It the diameter of the oring's cross section. The ID is the inside diameter of the o-ring's opening.
