Slides binding after carb cleaning was created by lg_rebel
I have a 79 KZ1000e with the VM28SS carbs. When I reassembled the carbs after cleaning, I turned the cable pulley by hand to check proper function. The slides moved open and snapped back shut like they were supposed to. However, after doing this a few times, they slides began to bind and they would not close on their own. I've removed and reassembled the slides a few times and keep having the same problem. Anyone have a solution or suggestion for this issue? Thanks

sounds like the throttle linkage is binding up did you have the carbs apart completly. if so double check against the manual to make sure you have everything as it should be.

Did you keep track of which slide came out of which carb body? Sometimes you get a little wear on the slides - and putting them in different bodies causes them to bind a little.
