I have a 78' KZ1000 with 28mm carbs, a Kerker 4 into1 w/no baffle,points, and pods. I have 120 mains and 17.5 pilots.
Clip in the 3rd position. Runs and starts up pretty good and does not take that long to warm up. My problem is it is runs a little rough thru 1/8 of throttle and trying to cruise between 15 to 35 mph. It had 15 pilots in it I changed them to 17.5 becasue of popping on deceleration and it pretty much took care of that. I still get a pop here and there but nothing major. I originally put 20 pilots in was great starting and very smooth cruising at low rpms but it would bogg when I tried to accelerate between shifts like it was over fueling. So I went to to the 17.5 and know it runs a little choppy at the low RPMs and still get the bogg in between shifts but only when its cold, it is fine after it warms up. I'm trying to figure out if I sgould of left the 20's in and the bogg between shifts may have been becasue I needed to make an adjustment elsewhere. I hop all of my mumbling makes sense. Thanks!
