if you are using the dyno jet kit you should be able to go right off there instructions the only thing you might have to adjust for will be altitude if that is the kit you have start at section one and follow the kit instructions to the letter and you should have no problems.

yes buy it it will save you a ton of headaches as they have already figured out all the hard parts when you get it you might look at it like wow i'm not getting much for my money don't think of it like that you are buying there hours apon hours of dyno time to figure out the quirks what that bike the needles alone are worth because you would have to experiment with 20 different sizes just to find one close. the kits are very easy to put in and like i said follow the instructions to the letter and it will go very smoothly.

Ok...I will do this...Even though I am scared to work on my carbs...because i think I am going to screw them up...maybe it's time...I grew some, and worked on them...But what stage....As it is...my carbs are not at their best, and with the open short headers...the bike almost will throw you off...The carbs will only run on full and half choke...if I turn the choke all the way off...i better be going over 3500 rpms or she'll die...so it's probably time for me to get the carbs a good tuning.

don't be scared just dive in keep every thing seperated i like to use muffin trays for this purpose and because there is absolutly no chance of me every cooking with them, the dyno jet kit is very straight forward and easy to follow so just start at step one and work forward don't jump around. you will suprise and amaze your self at how simple carbs are to work on once you get into them on word of caution make sure the screw drivers you use fit the jets tightly or go buy new ones that do and don't use them for anything else as improper fit can mess up the jets and affect flow .

that will help get your fuel screws in the ball park what you will need more will be a set sync sticks or gauges it is more important to set the sync on your carbs the settings from dyno jet will be very close for the fuel screws.

the stages are just set-up for different situations not power outputs just get the one matches your bike closely, if you have a pipe and pod filters that will be the kit you will need a different kit is available for stock pipes and air boxes. also when you have the carbs apart make double sure to shoot carb cleaner in all the passages and then blow them out with compressed air just to make sure they are clean. if your gonna be in there anyway.
