try it i know guys that use jb weld to raise the floors in there intake ports and it seems to hold up well to that. in the future try using an automatic center punch to knock outthe pins instead of a hammer and pin punch the automatic center punch will shoot those pins right out with virtually no stress on the towers.
thanks tim...its setting up now..we will see...if it doesnt set up, well i guess i got more spare parts...i had cleaned slides and reset clips on needles and reassembled that part all i had to do was pull floats and jets and clean a lot and reassemble...learned quite a bit already...if anything,
i got intimate with the inner workings of a mikuni...

Just my 2 cents....
I know that sometimes the items on ebay are junk and we have to be care to read the details in the descriptions.
But I've found over the years that the majority of the items I've purchased are just what was decribed and in the condition listed.
Ebay is a great forum for being able to find any part (or other item) you are looking for and have the chance to pick it up for far less that the retail value.
I, for one, alway have a reason for listing items on ebay...#1-I don't need the part any longer and #2-I need more money to buy different parts that I do need.
I recommend you alway look at the sellers feedback and ask questions if there's any doubt about the decription or condition of the item listed.
Good luck bidding and give thanks for the World Wide Market that ebay bring to our doors.

keith i would give that jb weld at least 24 hours to setup before you try to put the pin in as well maybe even 2 or 3 days it is broken now already you might as well give a good chance to work properly.
tim,
what i did was set it up with pin already in so as not to have alignment issues...i figured it would help hold it in place.....
