Leaky overflow lines Z1900

I don't have alot patience.Before the Z1 get rolled in the ditch and set on fire I need a little help.
Carbs have been leaking gas from the overflow lines. So I took em off cleaned everything. Keep in mind petcock is off. couple days go by big puddle of gas under bike..
Remove clean carbs again
Check floats, yup they float ,petcock does not leak when in off position.
Bike has not moved in three days. go out to garage today big puddle of gas under bike. Shake the bike gas pours out from the tubes WTF..Also these are same I carbs ran all last year with no problems

1) Check fuel levels with a clear tube to make sure they are set right.

2) Your carb float needle valves are not sealing. Take the needles out and polish the tapered ends until they are mirror smooth. Polish the brass seats as well.

Are you leaving the petcock ON when it's not running? It should always be turned off when not running.

it is the float valves the gas has gotten so bad nowadays that it is etching the float valves and the seats i just bought a set to redo my 29's after leaving them sit for a year with gas in them and they were perfect before i put them away. i bought genuine mikuni assemblies from sudco so now i'm good to go for now until it happens again in a few years. float levels don't magicly change them selves they need a couple of things to happen either the float vavle spring has gotten weak or the seats and needles have gotten etched.just like jetting doesn't change by magic.
