Replacing Fuel Lines, what size to use? was created by mox369
Hey i am going to be replacing all of the fuel lines to the carbs and want to know if i need 1/4 inch or 3/16 inch, or both. Please help. 83 KZ1100 shaft drive. Thanks

I'd say 5/16" I.D. would be close to stock size. 1/4" might be forced onto the fuel fittings at the petcock and carb fittings. Don't forget to install new hose clamps on the new hoses. I find that the ones used for Fuel Injection in cars work well as they do not have the worm gear slots in the clamps to wear out the hose with.
