Any negative aspects to not installing the silencer intake section on my 1000B3? Seems like a waste of space. could put a ton of tools there instead.

if your talkin about on the airbox, I took mine off long ago and have never had any problems, you may need to resync the carbs I know i do, but other than that the only differance i can see is that you can hear the air going in when you rev it up but i think it sounds pretty cool

As I understand it the silencer is for just that. To remove the big sucking sound. :whistle: You gain the room but be careful putting things in there cause the airbox still needs to breath and the battery is there. Nothing that could short it should go there. ;)

Okay to cut a piece of thin flexible perforated plastic as liner to prevent stuff from falling through any openings and also protect the battery. :)
