Running Rough?? was created by 81KZ
My 81KZ 650 CSR is running really rough,,I`ve had the gas tank "re-lined", carb`s cleaned, just at a loss,,
Any help on what the culprit(plugs?) might be would be really appreciated,
Thanks

Hello, Ron, and WELCOME to KZrider! :)
We're glad you're here! :cheer:

Four brand new NGKB7ES sparkplugs would be as good a place to start as any.

If not already at hand, am thinking a shop manual would be most helpful.

Here's one of several current ebay listings.

Good Luck! :)

always check the intake rubbers many have gotten old and have cracked between the mounting flange and the rubber letting your carbs suck to much air. Also I would sugest a compression check bad rings or valves could be a issue they should have at least 115 pounds of compression to have power and a good running bike it can run with lower or higher compression I think the new engine compression is around 130 or 150 PSI. I use B-12 carb liquid cleaner in the gas to clean the carbs along with B-12 spray to clean anything I can get to, I have found to use both will do a better job cleaning because the spray is there for a short time and what is in the gas will keep working while the gas is running through on a normal path hitting all spots the spray missed
