Here's a link to some carb information from Z1E's website.

Carb i-d guide

The ebay carbs look like the early model Z1 carbs (two screws holding the cap and exposed spring at top) after the change from single large bottom-located floatbowl drain screw to smaller side-located floatbowl drain screw and bottom-located overflow nipples.

Am guessing the ebay carbs are 28mm from an earlier model that had perhaps been fitted to replace oem 26mm carbs on a KZ1000.

Good Luck! :)

Those 28 carbs are off an early Z. They can work but a set of later Mikuni 26's or 28's would be good also. One thing though...those early carbs work really well.

I'll be putting a nice set of 29mm smooth bores off of a 78 Z1R on ebay as soon as I finish rebuilding them, for a little less money, I also have a set of BS34's and a set of VM28's of of a 77 KZ1000 I'm in the process of working on also. shoot me a PM, maybe we can work out a deal.
