Jetting question was created by snorules
I am in the process of building a 1981 kz1000j. After I tore the engine down, I noticed there has been some work already done. The pistons measure 72mm making it a 1075. Pistons and cylinder bores look new. I did a mild port job on the head, will be lapping the valves, grinding the stems, and hopefully adding HD valve springs. I am running pods and a Jardine 4-1 exhaust. I have bs34 carbs. What jetting would get me in the ballpark for initial setup? Thanks in advance.

Good surprises like that are always nice to find. B) We get enough bad ones, but the good ones are few and far between.

Use stock jet needles with no shims. 142.5 mains and 40 pilots should be close.
