Does anyone out there know how to adjust the accelerator pump rod on a 79 KZ1000 LTD? I just got the carbs back together and that is the last step so I can install them back on the bike. I am a relatively new mechanic on Kaw's. I mostly work on honda's and suzuki's. I don't want to have to buy a manual. Hope someone can help or direct me to a tutorial on the subject. Thanks

measure the rod below adjustment nut you want like 10 1/2 to just under 11mm adjust it to that range;)

Hey there, was that dimension from the end of the rod to the leading edge of the nut or to the lever? The reason I am asking is because when I set it at 10.5 mm to the nut,it seems like the plunger has very little room left to do anything. I set it to 10.5 to the lever and it seemed to be working better. I am just asking. Thanks
