I lost the aluminum plug out of 1 80 GS1100 Suzuki 34mm CV carb that goes into the carb body opposite the float pivots, It has a flat rubber o-ring that goes over it and the float bowl seals it off. Desperate, name your price, need it bad. Will keep looking for the lost one. Dealer shows no replacement. This is the same carb and part that goes into later model 82 up KZ1000, 1100s & GPZ750s. Hate to ask on here but Im desperate and have a lot of Kaws in the fleet

If you're referring to the plug that fits over the pilot jet I'm pretty sure that Jeff at Z1E has them or can find them for you, try giving him a hollar. If I recall correctly there are two different type plugs used on the BS34s, one is aluminum, the other is rubber - I believe either type can be used.

No, I have the rubber plug for the pilot jet. This is an aluminum plug about 3/8 around with a step on it that drops in a hole in the carb body then a flat o-ring goes over it and the float bowl covers it and seals it. This is for a Cv carb

If a grossly wild guess may be forgiven, would it be possible to mash a lead fishing line weight into the hole?

The purpose of the plug isn't clear. Some of the other versions of the BS34 have a bit that fits in that hole. On the Suz BS34, the hole must be plugged otherwise it is a massive air leak in the venturi. They are glued in at the factory and are a part of the carb body and don't carry a separate part number. Put a piece of tape over the hole and fill with JB Weld or get another set of BS34s and put a punch on one of the donor plugs from the inside and give it a tap. It will fall out. You can then use it in the carb body you need it for.

M, am familiar w/ your' plug, different series, use different dia/depths stepped & plain, some even use protrusions from float bowl to seal, if your' incoming bit doesn't work out, repost w/size/s and I'll search my bits.Luck G
