I just picked up a set of kz 400 carbs on ebay for 40 bucks shipped. They will need to be cleaned out and sutch. I got the idea to paint them glossy black. Since im ripping them apart, what type paint should i use on them? I was thinking about using Dupli Color glossy black wheel paint. I think it would dry really hard and resist gas and such. Does that sound like it will work? Thanks Jim

ive never painted carb's before but i have painted a few engines in my day the paint ive had the best luck with as far oil and gas restantance is pj1 engine paint. it seems to hold up the best to gas leaks that always seem to happen with 30 year old carb's
